SMTD Collaborative Piano Grant Application
Purpose of the Grant
​
The Collaborative Piano Grant is a limited financial resource designed to assist SMTD students with degree-required performances who need to hire a freelance professional collaborative pianist when institutional collaborative piano resources are unavailable.
​
The grant provides up to $250 toward the cost of hiring a professional collaborative pianist. Funds may cover a portion of the total fee; students are responsible for any remaining balance.

Eligibility
​
Applicants must:

Be enrolled as an MTD student at Kansas State University

Be enrolled in a degree-required performance (e.g., degree recital)
-
Hire a freelance professional pianist​
Application Deadlines
​

Spring semester performances: February 1 (Spring 2026 exception only)

Future Spring semesters: November 1 (prior fall)

Future Fall semesters: April 1 (prior spring)
Late or incomplete applications may not be considered. Funds are contingent on availability and approval.
